Managing Github repository access
This short write-up aims to provide you basic guide on how to allow others to edit and upload to a GitHub repository.
If you are the owner of the repository, you can add collaborators who will have direct write access to the repository. Here is how you can do it:
Go to the repository on GitHub: Navigate to your repository on GitHub.
Open the “Settings” tab: You can find this at the top of the repository page.
Select “Collaborators”: On the sidebar, under “Access management,” click on “Collaborators.”
Add a collaborator: Enter the GitHub username or email of the person you want to add, and then click “Add collaborator.”
Send invitation: The person will receive an invitation. Once they accept it, they will have write access to the repository.
